After two months of waiting, theorizing, shipping, and general "freaking out", the new hour-long Avatar movie, Secret of the Fire Nation is upon us at last. As if you needed reminding, don’t forget to tune in at 8 PM EST to see it. If you can’t catch it the first time around, encores will air on Saturday 8 PM EST and Sunday 4 PM EST. To state the obvious, the Secret of the Fire Nation movie, like The Furry of Aang back in July, is actually two episodes pushed back to back to form an hour long "movie".

Episode 212 - The Serpent's Pass - Aang and his friends are prevented from taking the easy route into Ba Sing Se while escorting a family of refugees and are faced with the challenge of making their way through the deadly Serpent's Pass.

Episode 213 - The Drill - Aang discovers a secret Fire Nation invention heading straight for Ba Sing Se and must stop it before it destroys the great wall that protects the city from invasion.

But tonight is only the beginning, Avatar fans. Animation Insider has reported that two new episodes have been slated to air in the next two weeks following tonight's movie. If there are anymore set to air in October, we don't know yet.

Sept. 22nd: Episode 214 - City of Walls and Secrets - Aang and the kids finally arrive in Ba Sing Se to see the Earth King, only to find mysterious forces within the city conspiring to stop them. Meanwhile, Jet tries to find proof that Zuko and Uncle are Fire Nation.

Sept. 29th: Episode 215 - Tales of Ba Sing Se - A series of short stories, highlighting different characters and their individual adventures in the city. Tales of Katara and Toph, Uncle, Sokka, Aang, Zuko, and Momo.

Take note that episode titles and descriptions can change as the airdates draw nearer, as they occasionally have in the past. The episode "The Earthbending Tournament" having its title changed to "The Blind Bandit" a few days before it aired being a prime example.

But new episodes are not the only new thing headed our way in the coming weeks. Next Tuesday, Sept. 19th, the Book 1, Volume 5 DVD goes on sale which contains the final four episodes of Book One (The Northern Air Temple, The Waterbending Master, and Siege of the North Pts. 1 and 2) and episode commentaries from the creators. Finally fans can complete their sets with all five volumes. However, if you'd rather have your Book One DVDs in a more complete package, Nick is also releasing on the same day The Complete Book 1 Collection. Obviously, it will contain all 20 episodes from season (Book) one on a six disc set, with the episodes on the first five and the sixth devoted to special features. The collection will have episode commentaries and a plethora of behind the scenes features among other things to please the fanboys or girls in all of us.

And that’s not all! The Avatar: The Last Airbender Video Game will be available on multiple platforms on Oct. 10th. You can pick the game up for the PS2, Xbox, Game Cube, PSP, Nintendo DS, PC, and Gameboy Advance. While the game will vary with each platform it's on (the Gameboy Advance version being the most drasticly diffrent from the others), the main description for all the versions is the same:

"Play as Aang, Katara, Haru and Sokka as you grow your team into an unstoppable force, utilize your bending powers and explore the Avatar universe. Bring to life an adventure of intrigue, deception and revelation that exposes an even greater threat than the Fire Nation as you battle new enemies and master your bending skills."

There is a version of the game set to be released for the upcoming Nintendo Wii console but this is not slated for release until November. Since the Nintendo Wii sports a unique motion control system, this version may be very diffrent from the others in terms of gameplay.

So over the next few weeks, we have plenty to look forward to and I dare say there's a lot more where all this came from. I think I can safely speak for everyone when I say: the good times are deffinatly here again.
